GoodWeb is a founding community of independent website owners and curious readers. Our mission is a web where independent websites help each other thrive.

Help the good ones grow.

For readers, that means discovering interesting websites you might otherwise miss. For website owners, it means helping people find your work by helping them discover others. Every visit goes to the original website, where its creator can build a relationship with their readers.

A network you can step into anywhere.

Participating websites add a small, minimisable discovery bar. It opens a doorway to the network without moving their content, changing their identity or trapping visitors inside a frame.

Find help. Follow curiosity.

When the network opens, you’ll be able to ask a question, browse an interest or try Surprise me. Search will return useful pages with short previews. Original websites will always be the destination.

Know what you’re choosing.

Following a subject and following a website are separate choices. The optional weekly digest is another choice again. Joining a member’s audience here won’t silently put you on their mailing list.

Small and worthwhile comes first.

We’re currently recruiting a founding group. The full directory, search and weekly digest will open after there are enough useful destinations. Membership is reviewed, basic participation is free and ordinary discovery won’t be bought.
